New content on my website today. Are you thinking about documenting the holiday season? This article will move you in that direction. #socrafty #decemberdaily
Hello! Stop right there and I will share some awesome holiday finds with you. That is, if you’re in to making cards or holiday crafting. I enjoy using up some of my supply stash and making my own coordinating pieces of a kit, but there are lots of cute kits available, and you will see them at the bottom of this post.
December Daily, Pocket Pages, Christmas Project Life
First off, I will give a shout out to my last local mom n pop scrapbook shop in my area: Stamp Delights in La Mesa, California. They do so many fun make and takes and cards…sooo many rubber stamps too. The owner, Debbie is so creative and she obviously loves what she does. Visit their Facebook page for more info on classes. I will always support small businesses in my area if I can! Amen.
For the past 6 or 7 years I have been doing my own version of December Daily. If you don’t know what this is, you’re in for a treat. It is a way to document the 25 days in December leading up to Christmas. I treasure my books! The way I do it is a hybrid of pocket pages and December Daily. I take a crafting day or two and make up a ton of coordinating Christmas pocket page cards. These coordinating cards are either 3×4 or 4×6 in size, standard sizes that slide into pockets of a plastic sheet protector.
I love saving time with pocket style pages and enjoy making my own “kits” for December Daily, but the official kit is available every year at aliedwards.com…

I go crazy and get into my creative zone, so that later, when I’m in the holiday thick of it, I can write on these already decorated cards with my special journaling, photos and memories. It works for me. You might be more particular than this, and make a layout for every day of December. I don’t, mostly because I know I can’t keep up if I do it that way. I tend to pre-fab some of the traditions we have each year in a more generic way, like a cookie making page, a trip to The Nutcracker, etc. A finished album is better than a half finished more artistic album, in my opinion… 🙂 I also find the transition between organizing my layouts and being creative at the same time slows me down, so this way I can focus on one or the other and get in a good groove.
So here a a few of the awesome items available out there for your Christmas memories. The following content contains #affiliate links, which means I will make a small commission if you make a purchase. This will not effect your price. Thank you!
